A knock on our door changed our lives in an instant.

Someone was at our door telling us our house was on fire. The fire had started in our shed and spread to the back of our home near our kitchen. Everything happened so fast. We ran outside in complete panic, not knowing what we were going to find.

In the middle of the chaos, I was told Brandon wasn’t there. Hearing those words was one of the most terrifying moments of my life. My heart sank, and all I could think about was whether he was safe. Thankfully, just a few minutes later, he pulled up. I’ve never felt so relieved.

While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, the fire took so much from us. Brandon lost every single one of his work tools. Those tools weren’t just equipment—they were his livelihood. They were how he provided for our family, paid our bills, and supported our son. Years of hard work and thousands of dollars invested in his business were gone in a matter of moments.

As parents, our biggest priority is our son and rebuilding a sense of stability for him. Right now, we’re trying to recover from this devastating loss while figuring out how to replace the tools Brandon needs to get back to work and continue providing for our family.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do, but any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward replacing Brandon’s essential work tools so he can get back on his feet and begin rebuilding what was lost.
