Rebuilding After the Eaton Fire: Help Jonathan & His Family

At California Subshine Inc., we are more than just a company — we are a family. Today, we are reaching out to our community to support one of our own, Jonathan, a hardworking and dedicated manager, and his family, who have recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy in Altadena.

This GoFundMe is being organized to help Jonathan, his sister, and his parents rebuild their lives. All funds raised will go directly to the family to assist with:
  • Finding and securing new housing
  • Replacing essential belongings lost in the fire
  • Covering immediate necessities such as clothing, food, and other daily needs

On the night of January 7, 2025, Jonathan and his family’s lives changed forever. Jonathan, a dedicated General Manager at Jersey Mike’s in Glendale, had just returned home to Altadena after attending a management meeting. The air was thick with smoke from the devastating Eaton Fire creeping closer to their neighborhood. Concerned for their safety, Jonathan, his sister, his mother, and his father made the decision to leave their home for the night, believing it was only a precaution. They hastily packed a few shirts and pants, thinking they would return the next day.

But that return never came.

When they tried to go back the next morning, they were met with roadblocks and emergency personnel turning them away. Days passed with no updates, only fear and uncertainty about the state of their home. On January 9, when they were finally allowed to see what remained, their worst fears were realized: their home was gone. Everything—family heirlooms, treasured memories, and basic necessities—had been reduced to ash.

Jonathan, who started working at Jersey Mike’s in 2021 and grew to become a General Manager, has always been a dedicated, hardworking leader. He left briefly to pursue school but returned to manage the Glendale location, where his passion for his work and team shines through every day. Now, as he and his family face the monumental task of rebuilding their lives, they need our support. The Eaton Fire has left Jonathan and his family with nothing but the clothes they took that night of urgency.

Jonathan’s journey with Jersey Mike’s has shown his strength and commitment, but now he and his family need a community to rally behind them. Let’s help ease the burden they carry and show them they’re not alone.

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with others can help spread the word.

Thank you for standing with Jonathan and his family in this time of need. Together, we can help them rebuild what was lost and remind them of the power of community and kindness.
