A message on behalf of Excess Group:
Dearest friends, family, partners, colleagues...
It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to you for help.
As you probably know by now, Lebanon has been going through its’ biggest financial & economic crisis for the past 10 months which was deepened with the on-going revolution and the COVID-19 pandemic. Our whole lives’ savings are now stuck at the banks and we are unable to get ahold of them.
Then came the Beirut explosion. The horrific blast destroyed our three stores and left them in rubble (Excess, Ivy & Haig Raffi), the building we own was also badly damaged leaving 4 families with shattered windows and our offices in Bourj Hammoud, Arax also had their share of destruction.
Some of our employees got injured, but we are grateful that the injuries were not too serious. Through the trauma, the sadness, and the desperation, we have decided to rebuild and stand on our feet yet again.
The damage caused by the explosion exceeds our current cash flow and relying on our government’s support is practically impossible, which is why we are reaching out for your help today. We need your help to get through these desperate and difficult times. We need to get back to work, we owe it to our employees, clients, partners and to our economy.
Any kind of support is highly appreciated, be it moral, physical or monetary. We wouldn’t have asked, if we didn’t need to.
Thank you for always standing by our family. We pray and hope for better days to come.
