Help a Mother & Son Rebuild After the Citrus Heights Fire
On Sunday morning, my dear friend was in the shower when her young son burst in, yelling that the building next door was on fire. Within seconds, their lives were turned upside down.
She is one of the 12 families displaced by the devastating fire on Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights — a fire so intense it required a second alarm and impacted every unit in the building.
In the chaos of evacuating, she lost so much — much of which cannot be replaced and what couldn't be taken was destroyed.
She is traumatized, exhausted, and starting over with almost nothing. While the American Red Cross has helped, the road to rebuilding is long and the needs are immediate.
Any amount — $5, $20, $50 — brings her and her son one step closer to stability. Please share this link even if you're unable to donate. Your kindness means the world to a family that lost nearly everything in a matter of minutes.
Thank you, Sacramento.
