Hi, my name is Alisa, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life. Yesterday, on January 24, 2026, a devastating apartment fire in the Central West End of St. Louis has affected me drastically. I was forced to evacuate quickly in harsh winter weather conditions with no time to gather essential items, and I may have lost everything: my home, clothing, personal items, and irreplaceable memories. It is still all a blur to me, but I am thankful to have made it out without injuries.
I am asking for help as I begin the difficult process of rebuilding. Donations will go toward temporary housing, basic necessities, replacing essential items, and getting back on my feet. Any amount means more than anything I can express at this time. Thank you all for your kindness, support, and compassion during this incredibly challenging time.
I do want to clarify that I have renter’s insurance and filed a claim. But until that gets processed, I just need assistance for the time being. Everything happened so fast, I ran out of my apartment with my car keys, my phone, a jacket, and my purse. I currently cannot see the state of my apartment and it is undetermined when I will be able to see what’s left of my belongings.
