On Wednesday, my life changed in a way I never expected. I suffered a stroke. It has been one of the most frightening and overwhelming experiences I've ever faced, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that has happened.

Right now, my main focus is recovery. Sometime this week, I will be moved to a skilled nursing facility where I'll begin more intensive rehabilitation to help regain my strength and independence. The doctors have told me that I won't be able to work for at least a month or two while I focus on healing and rebuilding. That's the part that has been weighing on me the most.

Like most people, the bills don't stop just because life throws something like this at you. Between the medical expenses from the stroke, the rehabilitation ahead, and regular living expenses that continue to come in every month, the financial pressure is real.

This has been a scary and emotional time, but I'm doing everything I can to stay strong and keep moving forward. I'm incredibly grateful for the people who have come to visit me, called, or sent messages. Those moments have lifted my spirits more than you probably realize and reminded me that I'm not fighting through this alone.
