Rebuilding after losing my home, job, and health

Wishing a Happy New Year to everyone who sees this.
This past year has been tumultuous and eye-opening for me, and I’m sure it has been for many of you. I’m sharing this to update everyone who’s been wondering where I’ve been and let you know what I’ve been going through. But most importantly, I’m sharing this to ask for your help. Deciding to do this has been difficult for me because I’m not used to asking for help. But I’ve been enduring some extremely challenging times and I’m okay now but in need of assistance.
For months, I’ve been silently battling a health crisis that has affected every part of my life. On top of that, I’ve been out of work since last year. I fell behind on rent and while I was recovering, my building management illegally turned over my apartment in The Bronx and discarded all of my personal belongings without my consent– everything from furniture to clothes, and my college diploma. This, the financial hardship, plus my physical and mental health scare has taken a toll on me and this has become one of the most trying times of my life.
I humbly ask my friends, community, and anyone who sees this to please donate if you can. With your help, I can cover urgent expenses like legal fees, rent, groceries, and utility bills as I navigate the next steps to rebuilding my life.
If you can’t donate, I ask that you share this with your network and take from my message some guidance for yourself that it’s okay to ask for help in times of need.
To anyone I know who’s been trying to reach me during my absence, please know I appreciate your kindness and would love to catch up in person or over FaceTime. Also, if you know of any positions I would be a good fit for, in marketing, tech, music, and media please reach out.
With much love and appreciation,
