On the evening of May 15th, 2020, an accidental house fire engulfed the Hughes' home. By the grace of God, all four household members were able to escape. Unfortunately, they are all currently displaced with one in the Burn Unit and another in the Intensive Care Unit. 

Since the family only escaped with the clothes on their backs, all of their possessions were lost in the fire from essential documents, furniture, and cell phones to necessities like clothes, hygiene products, and food.
