Rebuilding after house fire

Hi my name is Lisa I’m fundraising to help rebuild our life after house fire.

On December 27, the house we were renting caught on fire due to unknown reasons. Fortunately, the home had a sprinkler system, and the house did not burn to the ground, and most importantly, we all were able to get out uninjured. However, everything we owned was either damaged by the smoke or damaged by water from the sprinkler systems being activated. Sadly, we experienced what is called a total loss. Currently, we are just trying to get over the shock and trauma and cope with the situation at hand. We do not know how long we will be displaced but have been told it can take up to 6 to 8 months, and there is a possibility we may not be able to return to that home again. The insurance adjuster was able to rent a hotel for us to stay in temporarily. As a single mom of five kids ages 16, 13, 12, and 9, and my elderly mother, who has dementia, we have lost almost all our belongings. This event has put a significant strain on my family as well as the loss of our sense of security and peace of mind. We have been blessed by the community to have received some clothing which we are extremely grateful for. If you have it in your heart to donate, the money will be used to support us in getting day to day meals since we’re currently living in a hotel but mainly the rebuilding process of our lives.
