This is my worst fear, having to ask for help. I’m usually the person who pushes through quietly and figures things out on my own, but for the first time in my life I have hit a depth I can't swim out of on my own.

I was robbed the morning after Christmas, my vehicle was broken into and everything inside was stolen. In a moment when I was already giving my last and trying to stay afloat, I lost nearly my entire livelihood. My camera, a loaner laptop, my passport, identification, and other essential devices are gone. Some of these items didn’t even belong to me, and I’m now responsible for replacing them.

Unfortunately, insurance isn’t covering this loss. Local cameras turned out to be fake, and the police have told me there’s nothing more that can be done.

As a digital creative, the equipment that was stolen isn’t just “stuff”, it’s how I work, create, and survive. I had these tools in my car out of necessity. Without them, I’m unable to do the work that supports me.
