Rebuilding After Assault: Help Us Heal

I am writing this with a broken heart and with not a lot of hope left. My partner relapsed and chose to assault me three days ago. He assaulted me by punching my head, choking me, and much more, in a McDonald’s, stole my vehicle, money, medications, and left me without the ability to even feed my cats. He was the breadwinner and I am completely at a loss. He was arrested and my car, while not in good condition, was returned, and he’s now been charged with a third-degree felony assault against a family member with choking. Fortunately, it was all caught on McDonald’s camera, but now is the cleanup.

I don't have family or anyone I can get help from. I live in a camper that’s falling apart, but it's four walls and safety. I am hoping to be able to just have some help with my rent and be able to get my kitties food, because giving them up during all this would be losing the last bit of family I have, and I’m hoping that somehow a silver lining is found. I just need time to get on my feet and without any savings, a penny to my name, I don’t feel a lot of hope right now but I sure as hell am going to do everything I can so my babies can stay with me and I don’t lose my home.
