I need you to stop for a moment — this is hard to write.  And if my sister knew I was trying to help- she would be mortified.  But I have to.  She needs help.  And it takes a village.  Can any of you be her village? 

My sister survived domestic violence.

Leaving did not set her free — it nearly broke her.

When the marriage ended, her husband took everything inside the home and forced a $38,000 payment from her just so she could keep the mortgage — while she was unemployed and already traumatized. She was left in an empty house with PTSD, no income, and no safety net.

She didn’t give up.

She enrolled in community college to retrain and rebuild her life. She applied for workforce assistance — and was denied. Right now, she is trying to heal from abuse while studying, paying a mortgage, and surviving day to day.

That is too much for one person.

We started a GoFundMe because she needs time and stability, not another crisis. The funds will help cover:

• Mortgage and utilities

• Basic household furnishings

• Tuition, books, and transportation

• Food and daily necessities

• Trauma-informed counseling
