This fundraiser has been posted anonymously to protect the victim’s safety and security.
Earlier this year, I was physically assaulted by my now ex-partner, shortly after being laid off from my job. Sadly, this wasn’t the first time I experienced abuse during our eight years together—but it was the worst.
With no income or safe place to go, I faced immediate homelessness. I reached out to my local Crisis Center and have since been staying in various shelters and transitional housing for women. This space has given me temporary safety, but I’m now working to rebuild my life from scratch while healing from years of trauma and PTSD.
I’m sharing my story anonymously to protect my safety, as my abuser still lives in the area. I don’t have a support system to turn to, and I created this fundraiser as a last resort. Donations will help cover critical monthly expenses while I continue working toward stability and independence:
• Phone Bill – My only lifeline to communicate with my caseworker, therapist, career counselor, and housing resources.
• Food & Groceries – To cover daily necessities.
• Transportation – For medical appointments, therapy, job interviews, support groups, and essential errands. This includes gas, a small car payment, and insurance.
• Storage Fees – To keep my belongings safe during this period of transition.
Every dollar truly makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page would mean so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story—and for helping me reclaim my future.
