On 12/03/2025, our parents’ home was completely destroyed in a sudden and fast-moving house fire. Only one person was home at the time, my brother, who smelled smoke and tried to put the fire out while it was still small. As he grabbed the hose, the house went pitch-black with smoke and everything became unreachable. He managed to pull out my service dog, Slurpee, who was already unconscious.

Our mom arrived moments later and was able to save four birds from the porch before burning both her hands. She is currently hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning. Our legally disabled dad arrived shortly after, but firefighters would not allow him to access the back room where his service dog, Knytmare, was. Her room was not on fire, and she would have come straight to him. By the time she was finally brought out, she took her last breath in his arms.

We lost so many of our beloved animals Pets who were rescued, fostered, bottle-fed, and deeply loved. They were not “just animals”; they were family. Elle was my retired service dog and Lita, my brother's young puppy, they were so beloved.

Every surviving animal has already been taken to the vet for care, and thankfully, my sister and I both have homes for the animals and are figuring out where our parents can stay. We have also been blessed with donations of bird food and cages, and Slurpee had most of his supplies at my house already. Animal-wise, we have what we need for the survivors.

But our family has lost absolutely everything else. Clothes, shoes, hygiene items, all household essentials. Gone.

Right now, they urgently need help with:
- Clothing
- Food
- Hygiene products
- Basic daily necessities
- Support to begin rebuilding their lives from nothing

For anyone who wants to donate items directly, here are their sizes:
- Mom: XL shirts, size 14 pants, size 9 1/2 shoes
- Dad: Large shirt, 32×34 Pants, 9 1/2 Boots
- Brother: XL shirts, 34/36–30 pants and shorts
On top of all of this, we had $1,063 in vet bills for the survivors and will also have cremation fees for everyone we lost
We are heartbroken, overwhelmed, and trying to navigate an unimaginable loss. Any amount — donations, shares, or even kind words — means more than you know.

Thank you for helping my family find stability again as we begin the long process of healing and rebuilding.
