Rebuilding Abby's Photo Business After Theft

Abby Bostian is a spectacular elopement videographer/photographer and amazing human who had her backpack stolen from her rental vehicle while on a work trip to video/photograph an elopement in California. We left the car alone for no more than twenty minutes right after getting off the plane to grab food and essentials and came back to a smashed back window and stolen bag.

This bag included EVERYTHING that she has used to build her business over the past five years, and is suffering a devastating loss both professionally and personally. In her bag she had all her camera bodies, camera lenses, drone, a customized laptop for editing videos, her one of a kind Super 8 camera, audio equipment, SD cards, 4TB hard drive, video light and more as well as personal belongings like all her sentimental jewelry, her beloved kindle, toiletries, and the backpack itself which has been with her for years. All this totals to well over $15,000, so my hope is that together we can make this burden a little lighter.

We are both profoundly grateful that we are physically safe, and I have witnessed Abby handling this situation with resilience (like figuring a way to still get her hands on camera gear to be able to serve her couple well on their elopement), but that doesn’t make this any less of a hardship. By contributing what you can, either some kind thoughts or a few dollars, my hope is that we can come together as a community to get her back on her feet.
