Do you remember the first time you set foot through the gates of Cornwall College? Can you still feel the pride, the joy, and the sense of fulfillment? Right now you are probably recalling some of your days at general assembly, PE class, the tuck shop, “pav”, or sitting with your friends under one of those old “shady” trees. The memories of the scientist labs, library, bathrooms and the classrooms you walked to for industrial arts, may still be fresh in your mind too.
But time went by so fast. Before you knew it, five years had passed, and you were collecting your graduation certificate. The same emotions were back again; pride, joy and fulfillment.
Your entrance through those gates was the arrival at one of the most distinguished high schools in Jamaica for both academics and sports. You were part of an institution that at one time gave Jamaica the most medical doctors, and produced many prominent members of society, including attorneys, politicians, educators, athletes, scientists, entrepreneurs, journalists and more.
Today you are part of a select group of adults who got an opportunity to be educated, and have their lives transformed at Cornwall College. You went in as a boy, and now you are a “man of might!” Thanks to CC.
Cornwall College gave to you, and it needs your help today; RIGHT NOW! THIS VERY MINUTE! The school is in severe disrepair. The physical infrastructure is crumbling. The bathrooms are unusable, and the boarding house is uninhabitable.
We know the pride that comes with seeing the red and gold, and hearing the name “CORNWALL COLLEGE.” We know the feeling you get from reading about the successes and we need it to continue. Unfortunately, it may not happen without your help. This is where you can play a “man of might” role. Contribute to this fund and let us REBUILD THE LEGACY. It is worth it, and you should be a part of it. After you make your contribution please call or text your former class and schoolmates. They do not want to miss this opportunity to be counted.
