Help the Sawyers Family Give Back to Westmoreland After Hurricane Melissa

For over 40 years, the Sawyers family, originally from Westmoreland, Jamaica, has proudly given back to our home community of Egypt Garden (Captureland) and surrounding areas.

Each year, we travel back home to host our Back-to-School Backpack Drive, providing children with backpacks, school supplies, meals, and a day of joy and festive events. What began with 50 backpacks has grown into a celebration that now reaches over 300 students and families, all made possible by our family and friends dedication to giving back.

But today, we can’t do it alone. On October 27, 2025, Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica, leaving a path of destruction across Westmoreland. Many families in Egypt Garden lost their homes, belongings, and sense of security.

Now, the Sawyers family is asking for your support, to help us give back to the community. Your donations will go directly toward providing:

If you’ve ever been touched by Jamaica’s spirit, by the kindness, resilience, and warmth of the people, please donate today. No amount is too small. Share this page. Spread the word. Together, we can rebuild hope.

Help us give back to those who’ve given us everything.
