My heart is heavy as I share what my community in Hertford, Westmoreland is going through right now. Hurricane Melissa has left behind destruction and heartbreak that words can barely describe. Many families have lost everything homes, roofs, furniture, clothes even the comfort of knowing where they’ll sleep tonight. The sound of the wind still echoes in our minds, and for many, the rain that once meant life now brings tears of fear and loss, but even through all this pain, I still believe in hope and in the power of unity.
