I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for support for my grandma.

Recently, her home was lost in a devastating fire. This wasn’t just any house; it’s a generational home that has been in our family for years. It holds decades of memories, traditions, and moments that shaped who we are. Losing it has been incredibly heartbreaking for all of us, especially for her.

For those who know my grandma, you already know how special she is. She is one of the warmest, most selfless, and giving people you could ever meet. And for those who don’t know her, just know this: she has spent her life caring for others. She is deeply involved in her church, always showing up, helping where she can, and being a steady source of kindness and support for so many people in her community.

She’s the kind of person who puts others before herself without ever thinking twice. The kind of person who makes people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for no matter what walk of life. She is giving, kind, and has never asked for help before. That's what makes this so important to our family. I intend to give her this money to help her home, hands ob.

A little more about me, I am Gia Wees, her granddaughter, and this is what I can do in order to help her with her home as she has given back to everyone who has been there for her. Since I cant be there in person, this is what i can do to help her with food, and the reconstruction.

We are so thankful that she is safe, but starting over after losing so much is overwhelming. We’re hoping to raise funds to help her rebuild this home and restore a place that means so much to our family, as well as replace the essentials she lost.

Every penny from this gofundme goes straight to her for everything she needs to start her life over again. This is managed directly by her and her granddaughter. The funds will be directly transferred to her account to rebuild drywall, AC, electricity, and the structure of the home so she can continue living there.
