Early Sunday morning, February 23rd, 2025, a house fire broke out, leaving a 4-year-old child severely burned and his grandmother without a home. Trigger Tuthill Russell, 4, was airlifted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital's burn unit where he spent 3 days in ICU and 2 under observation. He is currently still being treated at UK Hospital for his burns. However, he is struggling financially to recover from this traumatic event. All of their personal items were destroyed in the fire and he is staying in a hotel in Lexington with his grandmother while being treated. He has very little financial support and is relying on his community to donate to help fulfill his basic needs and further his education. This is a horrible tragedy for a young child to suffer physically and mentally so we need to give support in the best way possible. Please feel free to donate whatever you feel obligated to.
