Relief for Our TLC Salon Family After Palisades Fire

Hello, my name is Melisa, and my sisters and I opened TLC Beauty Salon, a women-and-family-owned small business that was burned down by the Palisades Fire on January 7, 2025. Our beloved salon, which opened its doors in 2012, was reduced to ashes, leaving us and our dedicated team without the tools and space to continue doing what we love—serving our clients and community. While we hope to eventually rebuild, the goal of this fundraiser is to help us rebuild and provide immediate financial relief to our employees, who are now facing unemployment as they navigate this challenging time.

TLC Beauty Salon began as a shared dream between three sisters, who transformed an empty building into a vibrant and welcoming space. Since opening in 2012, we’ve poured our hearts into creating a salon where everyone feels valued and cared for. Our name TLC -- Tender Loving Care reflects the heart of everything we do: offering kindness, compassion, and exceptional service to everyone who walks through our doors.

Over the past 13 years, our clients have become like our extended family. We’ve been privileged to share in their life’s milestones—birthdays, anniversaries, weddings—and the quiet joys of self-care. Each holiday season, we eagerly added to our growing collection of Christmas cards. Each card represents the heartfelt connections we’ve built. TLC transformed into a space where we shared stories, formed friendships, and laughed together.

We’ve weathered many ups and downs, including the challenges of the pandemic, but thanks to the support of our loyal clients and the strength of our amazing team, we managed to get through it all. As a women-and-family-owned business, we’ve always taken immense pride in serving our clients and supporting our team through every challenge.

The loss is deeply personal—a place that represented years of hard work and countless memories, gone in an instant. But we refuse to give up.

TLC has always been about resilience, connection, and love. This fundraiser will help provide our team with the tools and supplies they need (i.e., nail and hair products, equipment, and more) so they can continue their craft and support their families. The future may feel uncertain, but we’re determined to keep moving forward, no matter how hard it gets.
