Rebuild the Schiller Shelter
Donation protected
Hi there,
This GoFundMe seeks to help an amazing family recover after a devastating house fire in Point Venture, TX.
Jackie & Darcy
Married in 2004, The Schillers have been together for 19 years and have dedicated their lives to helping others. Jackie proudly served 23 years in the Marines—deploying several times. After retiring in 2014 as a Major, he now dedicates his life to teaching, as a JROTC instructor. With an unshakable drive, Darcy has spent the last 25 years in education working diligently to improve the lives of both students and teachers. Together they have raised two daughters, and are now proud grandparents of two.
“The Schiller Shelter”
Over the years, the Schillers have opened their home (without hesitation) to friends and family in need—At one point having 13 people living in their home including themselves and their two daughters. With time, their home gained the nickname: The Schiller Shelter, as a reflection of their gracious hearts and an open-door policy for anyone in need.

The Fire
On Saturday, August 12th, 2023, Jackie and Darcie tragically lost their home to a sudden fire. In a matter of minutes, the Schiller’s home was overtaken by flames, leaving nothing behind to be saved, salvaged, or treasured. Although they lost everything, they are grateful no one was harmed.
Together we Can
While some things can never be replaced such as their countless family heirlooms, photographs, and other sentimental items, the Schillers must now rebuild what they can. Jackie and Darcy have given so much to others and now, in their time of need, we ask you to stand with us as we give back to them. Anything will help and everything will be appreciated. Together we can reach our goal and lift up a family that has lost so much. Thank you!
