Hi, my name is Sunil Menon. I have undertaken a legal effort to have the developer, Lennar Corporation, the second largest builder in the United States, work with government agencies to redesign the Sierra Ranches Preserve in Davie, Florida to code, plans and the best engineering standards for sustainability in perpetuity.

I have fronted the legal and engineering study cost of this effort out of my own wallet. Any donations I collect through this effort will be first used to pay for the legal fees and the engineering expert fees.

I will then donate the surplus after paying for the legal and engineering expert fees among four organizations- two environmental and two public agencies. The environmental non-profits are the Sierra Club and the Nature Conservancy, and the agencies are Central Broward Water Control District and the South Florida Water Management district.

I hope you will support the effort for one or more of any reasons. Maybe you are an engineering discipline fan and like scientific thinking. Maybe you care that a stormwater management resource that doubles as an environmental resource should be designed correctly. Maybe you just want to support that individual resident that is trying to do the right thing for his community and future residents in perpetuity while navigating a bewildering array of roadblocks.
