Rebuild The Lu: Support Gino, Danielle, and Morgan
Donation protected
Hello everyone, Angie here, aka "Mamacita" or "Mama" as many of you have come to know me and call me. By now, many of you are aware that tragedy hit us all hard on October 10th, 2024. A two-alarm fire ripped through Grandview Plaza, and our beloved Andalusia Bar & Grill was burned down along with many other businesses in that plaza. The Lu, as we have all come to affectionately call it, was not just a bar for us; it was a second home for us. It is where we met lifelong friends, and some of us met the love of our life and married them. We celebrated birthdays, graduations, baby showers, the birth of beautiful babies, and unfortunately, also bid farewell to some very close friends & family. There have been patrons and employees that have been going to The Lu for the past 35 years, and the memories are countless. As Bridget Hughes nicely stated a week ago, "At the Andalusia, everyone knew your name, your birthday, your family & of course what you drink. For every birthday, there was cake & singing. Everyone was special at the Lu. We were one big dysfunctional family!"
Therefore, I would like to ask that we stand together as the family we are and spread the word to raise money for Gino Tripodi, his beautiful wife Danielle Jacot Tripodi, and of course, let's not forget their wonderful daughter Morgan Scimeca. Although Grandview Plaza will rebuild the structure, the insurance will not cover all of the internal renovations. Rebuilding The Lu is not going to be cheap, and we need to raise a lot of money to replace all the equipment, pool tables, stools, etc.
