Rebuild Our Office

Hi, I am Yousef Al-Rantisi, an expert in forensic sciences, and I had a center in Gaza specializing in forensic science and human rights, working with lawyers from Europe.

During the current war on Gaza our office was destroyed (see photo), as well as my home so not only did my family (me, my wife and four children) became homeless, but me and my nine employees all lost our ability to continue our work, and earn our livelihood. One of our team was outside when the war started, and is now doing this fundraiser to help us to rebuild.

I and my team provide training to police, lawyers, judges and investigators from many sectors - justice, health, civil defence, media, NGOs - on the collection, management and storage of forensic evidence, as well as its analysis, interpretation and presentation to courts, inquiries and tribunals.

Not only is our living situation increasingly critical, but our work is now needed more desperately than ever before.The continuation of this work is essential to replace and replenish our workforce so heavily impacted by this war, with many of those we trained already killed, maimed or injured. Providing access to training in forensic and human rights into the future depends on us rebuilding our centre, and training more personnel to replace those already lost to bombs and bullets.

Your donations will be used to re-equip our office, and provide help to our employees to get back on their feet and continue their valuable work helping people and preserving human rights.
