### Help My Parents Rebuild After Hurricane Milton's Damage

Dear Friends and Family,

My parents have dedicated their lives to helping others, both human and animal alike. Originally from Long Island, they moved to Lakeland, Florida, and purchased their dream home in 2019. Since then, they have transformed their property into a sanctuary—a self-sustaining haven filled with love, laughter, and the joyful sounds of pigs, chickens, and the many dogs they have rescued.

**A Heart of Gold**

Both of my parents would give the shirts off their backs for almost anyone without a second thought, expecting nothing in return. Many have witnessed their kindness and generosity over the years. They have worked tirelessly to build their lives and create a home that reflects their compassion. Initially, they never thought about taking in so many dogs, but the area around them became a dumping spot for unwanted pets. Their golden hearts simply could not leave these animals behind.

They began getting involved with a local shelter and started fostering dogs alongside the ones they rescued, all while hoping to one day open a true rescue of their own. Now, they are completely devastated by the impact of Hurricane Milton.

**The Impact of the Hurricane**

Recently, their home faced the wrath of Hurricane Milton, causing significant damage that has left them in a difficult situation. Thankfully, my father's foresight in building up the property helped minimize the impact on the homes around them. In a true act of kindness, their neighbor has offered her home not just for my parents but also for their beloved dogs during this trying time.

**The Damage**

While the pigs, chickens, cats, birds, and sugar gliders are safe, the damage to the house is overwhelming. They have lost nearly everything, and the slow process of recovery has made it challenging for them to begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives.

**How the Funds Will Be Used**

I am raising funds to help my parents rebuild and start over because they have lost everything. The money raised will go directly toward repairs for their home, replacing damaged belongings, and ensuring that they can continue their mission of rescuing and caring for animals.

This fundraiser is organized by me, Ben, my siblings Matt and Sarah, and my mom's sister Maureen to support my parents during this difficult time.
