Help Rebuild Salon Tru

Salon Tru has been part of the Santa Monica community for over 6 years, employing dozens of amazing stylists, aestheticians, and staff. The Salon has won "Most Loved Hair Salon" and "Most Loved Downtown Santa Monica Business" each year since they opened. 

On May 31, 2020, Salon Tru was vandalized and broken into by looters. Everything of value was stolen, and what wasn’t looted was destroyed beyond repair. 

The Salon was just about to reopen next week, after having been closed for over 2 months due to the Covid pandemic. They had just implemented all possible safety measure needed to ensure that clients were able to safely get their hair done again.

Michael has sunk so much blood, sweat, and tears into making this small business a success and to see it destroyed in just a few minutes is devastating. It's not just Michael who is impacted, but the Salon's eighteen staff, and hundreds of clients. 

I am asking for your help on Michael's behalf. The salon needs all the support it can possibly get to be able to rebuild and reopen. Any support you can provide will be much appreciated. 

We want to acknowledge here that Michael and I are both supporters of the Black Lives Matter Movement. The actions of these looters should not be equated with this movement. These looters are opportunistic and taking advantage of a group whose mission is to achieve justice and to eradicate white supremacy and the violence inflicted on Black communities.
