Mamprobi South 4 Basic School, located in Accra, Ghana, is in urgent need of support. The classrooms are worn down, the facilities are unsafe, and many girls miss school simply because they don’t have access to sanitary products or safe washrooms.

This fundraiser will support the rebuilding of the school and more importantly, rebuild the futures of girls in this community.

What This Fundraiser Will Do:

• Renovate classrooms and damaged facilities

• Provide menstrual kits and menstrual health education

• Train teachers to continue the education in their classrooms

• Help 22 girls currently facing period poverty complete junior high school stress-free

Q: How many students will this support?

Over 300 students will directly benefit from the new infrastructure and education. Among them, at least 100+ girls will receive kits and health education.

Q: Is the school girls-only?

No, it’s a mixed school — but our initiative is focused on ensuring girls don’t drop out or miss school due to menstruation.

Q: What’s in the menstrual kits, and how long do they last?

Each girl a supply of a sanitary kit that includes:

• Disposable sanitary pads

• Soap

• Storage pouch

• A menstrual health booklet

Each kit lasts 2-3 months, depending on care.

Q: What have been the results so far?

After previous drives in 10 schools, we’ve seen:

• Reduced absenteeism

• Improved confidence in girls

• Teachers and parents actively engaging in menstrual health discussions

• Girls reporting they feel more supported

We’ve witnessed first-hand impact, and now, with your help, we’re taking it a step further; creating a space where girls can learn with dignity.
