Dear Supporters,
My name is Aminah Jackson, and together with my sister, Natasha Brown, we are dedicated community members committed to supporting the Thompson-Ramsey, Wright, and Thornton families. Leveraging our expertise in community organizing and wellness retreat facilitation, we have organized "Rebuild & Rise," a virtual day retreat to aid these families who lost everything in the recent Altadena fires..
Event Details:
Date & Time: January 26 | 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM PST
(Zoom link will be privately messaged to you upon donation)
Why This Matters:
The Eaton Fire has devastated Black and Brown families in the historic Altadena and Pasadena communities, leaving many displaced. These neighborhoods, rich in cultural and historical significance, have received less media attention and support compared to more affluent areas affected by the recent fires in Los Angeles.
What to Expect:
✨ Grounding and Meditation
Sound Therapy
✍ Journaling Sessions
Reiki and EFT Tapping
Mindful Movement
Nutrition Workshop
Live Performances
Community Discussion
How You Can Help:
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to support these families. We suggest donations of $33 for drop-in access and $88 for full-day access. 100% of proceeds will go directly to the families.
Please reserve your spot by donating now to support these families in need. Whether you can attend or not, your support in sharing and spreading the word is invaluable.
Together, we can stand in solidarity with our neighbors, honoring their legacy while helping them restore their homes and hope. Every dollar raised will go directly to families affected by the Eaton Fire.
We appreciate your support and solidarity during this time.
Let’s rebuild and rise together!
With faith and love,
Aminah Jackson
Natasha Brown
