Rebuild Riley

Hi, my name is Diane and I am fundraising for my rescue dog, Riley.

Riley was surrendered as a starving 1 year old and has had two surgeries to repair a severe cleft palate, sponsored by her rescue group (South Texas Boston Terrier Rescue). Riley finally began putting on weight and gaining strength, but she still has a small defect and needs a final surgery to protect her from pneumonia or choking when she eats, drinks or plays with certain toys. The rescue group could not afford to complete this treatment while we were still fostering Riley, so we decided to adopt her and pay for the needed surgery ourselves.

As we finalized her forever home and looked for a specialist for her cleft surgery here in her new hometown (Austin), Riley also developed a limp which has been getting progressively worse. After trying rehab and rest with no improvement, we took images and visited an orthopedic specialist and learned that Riley also needs two complicated knee surgeries to get her out of pain and restore her mobility.

We were reluctant to ask for help with the expenses, but in order to get Riley the care she needs in a timely fashion we are humbly asking for your donations.
