"Rebuild Our Elementary School Library: Inspiring Young Mind

Hi! My name is Rhea Clegg, and my love for reading began in the most unexpected place: a rundown school library. I can still vividly remember the smile on my face when I saw that library for the first time as an elementary student. It was old and worn, and at the time, it was closed for renovations. But I remember standing there, imagining how incredible it would be to step inside, to smell the pages of countless books, and get lost in the stories waiting to be discovered.

Although I didn’t get to experience that library then, the dream of it never left me. It’s where my passion for reading was born, even before I could open the doors. The idea of being surrounded by books, exploring new worlds, and escaping into stories sparked something in me that continues to shape who I am today.

Now, I have the opportunity to help rebuild that same library for the next generation of students. I want to give them what I always imagined—a place where their imaginations can run wild, where they can be inspired, learn, and grow.

Why This Library Matters?

Libraries are more than just rooms filled with books. They’re safe havens where children can discover new ideas, develop their curiosity, and become lifelong learners. In today’s world, where kids are more likely to be glued to their phones than turning the pages of a book, it’s more important than ever to offer them an alternative—a place where they can fall in love with reading just like I did.

I’m launching this GoFundMe to rebuild the library that once gave me so much happiness, and where my passion for books was ignited. I believe that every child should have the chance to experience that magic—to walk into a library and feel the excitement of choosing their next adventure, to learn something new, and to be inspired by the limitless possibilities that books can offer.
