Dear friends, family, and supporters of Nick’s Place,
We are heartbroken to share that Nick’s Place, the beloved restaurant and community hub in Pavones, Costa Rica, has been demolished by the Municipal de Golfito. This cherished spot, known for its delicious fresh food, authentic casados, Frankie Philly's, smoothies, and warm atmosphere, was more than just a restaurant—it was a place where memories were made, surfers gathered, and our community came together.
The Municipal de Golfito’s decision to run a road through Nick’s Place, despite paving errors, has left our community reeling. This reckless project not only destroyed Nick’s Place but also threatens other local businesses and landmarks. We believe this action reflects corruption and disregard for our community’s heart and soul, and we’re fighting to rebuild what was taken from us.
From its prime location near the world-famous left-hand surf break to its big-screen TV, sports, Nick’s Place was a cornerstone of Pavones. Now, we need your help to bring it back.
Why We Need Your Support
We are raising funds to:
Rebuild Nick’s Place in a new, safe location to continue serving our community.
