Rebuild My Home in Gaza, Reclaim My Life

I am trying to help this family that I know in Gaza. The following is their story:

My name is Areej Hussein. I am an architect and interior designer from Gaza. For years, I dedicated my life to my work, designing spaces that brought comfort and beauty to others in Gaza. My home was my sanctuary, and my small but vibrant office was a place of creativity and collaboration with my colleagues.

But everything changed in an instant.

When the war began, my world was shattered. My home—the place that held my memories, my dreams, and my sense of security—was reduced to rubble. My office, where I had spent years building my career, was engulfed in flames. In a matter of moments, everything I had worked for was gone.

Since then, my family and I have been displaced, forced to move from one temporary shelter to another in search of safety. On three separate occasions, I narrowly escaped death as bombs fell around us. The refugee camps we now call home are overcrowded and unsafe, making every day a struggle for survival. The conditions have taken a serious toll on my health, leaving me vulnerable to illnesses and exhaustion.

Despite the hardships, I refuse to give up. I believe in resilience, in rebuilding, and in the power of community. But I can't do this alone.

I am reaching out to ask for your help. I need to raise $19,000 to start rebuilding a part of my home, to create a safe space where my family can heal and regain a sense of normalcy. Every dollar you contribute will bring me closer to reclaiming my life and using my skills as an architect to contribute to a better future.
