Help rebuild my first home

I have always been one who would try to figure things out on my own, but right now, I really need help.
I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to share that my home was recently destroyed in a devastating fire. Thankfully, everyone in the building is safe, but we all lost nearly everything in the blink of an eye. What used to be my sweet home, which I had saved for years since high school, was now diminished to soot and water. Although my home was the furthest from the fire in the building, my unit was covered in two inches of water, soot, trash, and random debris from the upstairs units. They are saying that it will take a minimum of a year to rebuild.
The fire consumed not only the physical structure but also two years' worth of belongings, books, knick-knacks, quirky personal design, and all our memories of my first home that I owned.
My mom is helping me with understanding the insurance side of things, but it doesn't cover all of the immediate and unexpected costs that come with continuing to pay the mortgage, HOA, trying to replace all the things we lost, as well as the new expenses of rent and utilities at another place.
With the money raised, I am hoping to help cover:
- Temporary housing and basic living expenses
- Replacing essential items and furniture
- Pay for the removal of the damaged items and find a place to store the items that were not damaged
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support during this difficult time. As many of you know, I get easily overwhelmed and anxious, but I’m also holding onto hope that our home will be back and better than ever!
Thank you for everything
