Rebuild my dads flooded home from Helene
Donation protected
My dad and brother live in Hernando Beach Florida and because of the flooding and storm surge caused by hurricane Helene, they lost everything. Over 3.5 feet of water filled the house when the storm hit my dad’s gulf coast home. Luckily they listened when told to evacuate and didn’t lose their lives along with everything else. Nothing survived the storm surge. Everything from family pictures to important documents are gone. They currently have a room at a near by hotel and will have to stay there until the house is made live-able again. Nothing left to do at this point but to rebuild. He’s looking at thousands of dollars to replace what was destroyed by the storm just to make the home safe and liveable.
So far we’re looking at plumbing, a full electrical panel replacement, a 4’ “flood cut” of every piece of drywall, all electrical outlets, cabinets, the list goes on.
He has never asked for a thing in his life, but is the first one to help anyone that may need it. So I’m asking for him. Any help would be appreciated beyond anything I can express in words.
thank you,
