Rebuild Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church

Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church—also known as King’s School House—was completely lost in a devastating fire.
This building has stood for over 90 years as a part of our community’s history. Long before it became a church, it was a schoolhouse, filled with the voices of children and teachers. In time, it became a place of worship—a home to generations who gathered there to pray, sing, fellowship, and grow in faith.
The loss has been heartbreaking. What’s even harder is that, due to the building’s age, no insurance company would cover it, so we had no insurance at the time of the fire. Everything inside and out was a total loss.
We’re stepping out in faith as we begin the journey to rebuild, and we’re asking for your help.
We’re starting with a goal of $100,000, but the truth is—we will need everything.
If this church has ever touched your life or if you believe in the importance of keeping small, faithful churches alive—we would be deeply grateful for your support, prayers, and shares.
Thank you for standing with us as we trust God to restore what was lost.
With hope and gratitude,
Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church
