A lot of you were here because you saw the video I posted on TikTok of my mom and dad‘s kitchen and how the floor and ceiling are falling apart. My mom has been battling stage four cancer for the last six years and they’ve sunk everything into her treatments and travel expenses. They had to stop remodeling the house because there just wasn’t any more money to go around, and now things are starting to fall apart. They are some of the most golden hearted people I know and would give the shirt off their back, they don’t deserve to live their retired years like this. My mom deserves to have shelves in her kitchen instead of wire frames where the cupboards used to be. She deserves a floor that isn’t half ripped up and a clean place where she can cook whenever she feels well enough to. We tried to raise the money through a video on TikTok, but unfortunately, we only generated about $30 off of the creator fund. Which is not near enough to give them their dream kitchen. Then today, as they were coming home from chemo their car broke down and it was the engine. They are in the process of getting a new vehicle today and they still owe on the old one. Which will make things very difficult moving forward. I’d like to take whatever remaining money there is left over, if there is any, and put it towards a new vehicle for them to safely get back-and-forth to her treatments. She is currently undergoing radiation five days a week and state college and biweekly immunotherapy treatments in Pittsburgh. When she’s not at the hospital, she enjoys spending time outside with her flowers, cooking and watching Christmas movies on Hallmark. Yes, she watches them all year round. Please take a moment and share, even if you can’t donate maybe someone else will if you just click that share button. Please help me surprise them and make their life a little bit easier because up until now it’s been pretty tough. My mom is a firm believer that God will provide and so I’m letting this up to you guys - please give what you feel your heart is being led to give. I pray God blesses each and every one of you for your contribution and engagement! Please follow along for updates on our story, I will be posting more on the kitchen and the vehicle as funds start to come in and we are able to start remodeling.
**UPDATE**
we did not receive near enough donations to fix anything in my mom‘s kitchen. Which is heartbreaking. Because she was just put on hospice care this week. I really wish enough people would’ve cared about her as much as I do to help her get the kitchen she deserves. No one should have to spend the latter part of their life living the way she does. It’s just not right. I’m only working part time now so that I can stay home and help care for her. We are pretty much depleted financially, but we have each other and that’s all that matters. If we can get enough people to donate and self fix her kitchen, I would love for that to happen. If we don’t then smaller donations will go towards her immediate needs such as anything nutritional or medical.
