#Help Melody Rebuild After the Greenacres Fire
Hi, my name is Charles long and I’m fundraising for my mother, Melody Miller.
On 7/14 the devastating wildfire that swept through Riverside Greenacres Rd completely destroyed my mother’s home, her barn, storage units, and much of the land she depended on. Her animals were displaced, and everything she spent a lifetime building was lost in a matter of moments with less then 10 minutes to evacuate.
By the grace of God, she was able to find temporary shelter in a hotel, thanks to the emergency support of our local community and her employer. But now, she faces the unimaginable task of starting over—without a home, without resources, and without the means to rebuild alone.
We’re asking for your help to:
* Buy a small housing unit to replace her lost home
* Fund clean-up of the burned property
* Replace damaged power poles, repair the well, and restore basic utilities
* Rebuild livelihood structures, (fencing, outbuildings, etc.)
*“To all who mourn… He will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.”
— Isaiah 61:3
"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
> — Galatians 6:2
This has been a heartbreaking and humbling time. If you’ve ever known the pain of watching a loved one lose everything, you understand how deeply it cuts. But we believe in the power of community and the strength that comes when we rally together in compassion and hope.
Please donate what you can. Every dollar helps bring my mother one step closer to home.
If you’re not able to give financially, we ask that you lift her up in prayer and share this fundraiser with others.
From the bottom of our hearts,
Charles long and Family.
