Hi everyone,

My name is Maro, and I live in Jamaica. I work as a Captain at Great River Rafting, taking visitors on peaceful river tours — something I've always loved doing.

My family and I were hit hard by Hurricane Melissa, and we've lost almost everything. Our home was severely damaged, and we are now displaced, trying to figure out where to go next.

During the storm, my brother was badly injured — he broke his arm and leg and needs surgery as soon as possible. We've been trying to manage the costs, but things are very hard right now.

I'm starting this GoFundMe to ask for help with:

Rebuilding our home

Covering my brother's medical expenses and surgery

Basic living needs for my family as we recover

This has been one of the hardest moments of our lives, but I'm still holding on to faith and hope. Any help — no matter how small — would mean the world to us right now.
