Blessings to everyone and thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. On October 27th, 2025 the beautiful Island of Jamaica was devastated by hurricane Melissa in a historic category 5 storm. In the aftermath of the hurricane many parishes in the southern/western parts of Jamaica were declared “disaster zones” including Blackriver, St. Elizabeth. A small community less than 5 miles from Blackriver resides Arlington district or what we would call our second home. Let us introduce ourselves. We are Kim and Jodi, two sisters born in Jamaica but raised in Arlington and later relocated to USA. However a piece of Jamaica is always in our hearts because most of our family still resides there. In times of tragic events like this people’s faith are tested and churches are an essential place to find comfort, seek solace, find peace and hope in something higher than ourselves or God. Unfortunately our cousin’s Marge church was ravaged by the hurricane, it was flattened to the ground. Jesus Jesus Precious Jesus Pentecostal church located in Arlington District, St. Elizabeth was a complete loss in the hurricane. To many in the community, throughout Jamaica and the world many souls have been saved because of this humble church. Marge, a faithful woman of God has prayed for many all over the world from just word of mouth, including Africa, UK, USA, Canada and the Caribbean. Many have been delivered and healed by the Lord Jesus. The church is a safe place to worship the Lord in honesty and truth. A place that teaches the love/faith in Jesus, love for one another, repentance for our sins and water baptism, all important tenets of seeking salvation for our souls. Our cousin Marge not only loss her church but also her entire house roof and items in the house were severely damaged due to exposure to the elements post hurricane Melissa. Marge is a pillar of love to everyone even her enemies. She is selfless, strong, resilient, humble and a woman that live by faith daily. She lives a life of gratitude daily, never complains, a cheerful giver but now she needs our help. Thank you for helping us to assist Marge and the church family in rebuilding a Holy Spirit filled church of worship and to fix her house roof as well. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you and may God bless you and your family today and always in Jesus name. We love you all with a heart full of love.
