Rebuild Lives of Vietnam Minority Communities TYPHOON YAGI
Donation protected

I am Quyen, a Vietnamese-born Canadian living in Hanoi. I am currently experiencing the effects of Typhoon Yagi firsthand. I am reaching out to my friends and family to ask for support for communities in Vietnam, especially those in Sapa.
Sapa, remote, mountainous regions of Northern Vietnam are home to many ethnic minority communities, such as the Hmong, Dao, Tay, and others. These communities, already facing economic hardships, have been hit hardest by the destructive Typhoon Yagi. Their homes, farms, and livelihoods have been devastated by landslides, flooding, and the storm's unforgiving force.
For many of these minority communities, daily life was already a struggle. The impact of Typhoon Yagi has only intensified their challenges. Many families have lost not only their homes but also their crops—their primary source of food and income. Access to clean water, healthcare, and education is now even more scarce.
I am raising funds to help these communities rebuild and recover. Your support can provide:
- Support for sustainable farming initiatives to help families replant and regenerate their lost crops.
- Educational materials and school rebuilding, to ensure children can continue their education.
Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support local families to rebuild their livelyhood.
These communities, rich in culture and history, have always shown incredible resilience in the face of adversity. Now, more than ever, they need our support to rebuild their lives. By contributing to this campaign, you are helping to ensure that these minority groups can recover with dignity and hope for a better future.
All money raised will be given to Sapa local authority to be distributed to the people in the Ta Phin Village.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity! Please share this post.
