Reunified Families Need Our Help

Donazione protetta

Thanks to public outcry, children at the border are finally being reunited with their parents after weeks or months of cruel separation. We must celebrate this important step.

But the needs, trauma, and suffering of these families does not end here. They need our help to heal, find safety, and rebuild their lives. We know that many of you are looking for a way you can help these families and show that we can be the America all children deserve.  So let’s join together and show them the great compassion of this nation.

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service is one of two organizations officially tapped to help bring these families together and provide them with immediate care. One by one, we are providing them with the support and services they need, and it’s working: for the first time in weeks—in some cases months—mothers, fathers, children, sisters and brothers have been able to embrace their loved ones.

But the coming days are critical for helping separated families heal:

Your donation today empowers our team to provide immigrants and refugees with access to critical resources like legal support, trauma counseling, and social services. Most importantly, your donation provides a sense of hope for children and their parents. Any amount makes a difference.

* $17 can provide one day of critical social services for a mother and child.

 * $50 can provide a mother and father access to legal services for three days

 * $117 can provide one week of trauma counseling for a mother and child.

 * $500 can provide a family with access to mental health and social services for 30 days.

 * $1,500 can provide a family access to legal support, mental health, and social services for three months

Please join us assist these victims of violence, caught in the middle of cruel immigration policies.

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) was founded in 1939 by Lutheran churches in the United States to serve uprooted people during World War II. We work with network partners across the country to provide a full continuum of services for children and vulnerable youth, from foster care to family reunification.
