My name is Ashleigh. A cousin, sister, niece and daughter of those affected in Warsop, Trelawny by Hurricane Melissa. We are in need of your help to supply South Trelawny with as much help as possible.
On October 28th, 2025, the beautiful "land of wood and water" was struck by a CATEGORY 5 hurricane, with sustained winds of 185 mph. This hurricane came and destroyed our land, nothing was pardoned. Gaining title of one of the worst hurricanes in history.
My family has lost almost everything, housing, clothes, food, documents. Schools, clinics, churches, source of living have all been destroyed. Unfortunately, due to the extensive damage we have also not been able to hear from a lot of our family members.
Our people are known around the world for their personalities. Always having fun, always jovial, always happy. Making the best of the little we have.
It is extremely sad to watch them smile because they have life but also have tears running down their cheeks in the same breath.
This money would be used to help with roofing, food and clothes. We appreciate all the support provided, no matter how little it might be. As we say in Jamaica "Every Mickle Mek A Muckle".
(It cost $0, just to say a small prayer).
Our Anthem "Jamaica- Land We Love" is our solemn prayer and a powerful declaration of national identity, unity, and devotion to God and country.
We thank you in advance for all your help, all your prayers.
WE SHALL RISE AGAIN, WITH YOUR HELP!
