Aloha everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of my family in Maui who have recently been devastated by the wildfires that have rapidly spread across the island. My name is Matt Hiraga from the island of Oahu trying to support in the best way that I can with everyone’s limited resources. My family consisting of my grandmother, Aunty, Uncle, cousin, and nephew are currently in the Napili area, helping to support at least 20 other people who have been displaced, from the Lahaina wildfires. Our lives have been turned upside down, and we are in urgent need of support to rebuild and recover.

My 86-year-old grandmother, a pillar of strength in our family, lost her house in Lahaina due to the fires. Right now, she, along with other family members and even strangers in need of shelter, are doing their best to provide accommodation for over 20 people in their limited space.

The situation is dire, and resources are running thin. We are humbly asking for your assistance to ensure that our family and those who have found refuge in our families home can start to rebuild their lives.

The funds collected will be primarily used to provide immediate relief such as food, water, medical supplies, and basic essentials for all those affected. Additionally, we aim to secure alternative housing options for my grandmother and others who have lost their homes.

Your generous contribution would mean the world to us, as well as to those who are currently finding solace under our roof. Every dollar raised will directly impact our family's ability to navigate through this crisis.
