Friends, Hurricane Melissa, the strongest hurricane to ever make landfall on the small Island of Jamaica has devastated the entire island from Kingston in the south to Montego Bay in the north. This is the first ever recorded Cat 5 hurricane in our history to hit the island head on. I have set up a GoFundMe for us to help in a way that we actually can from here. Our dear friends the Thomas family runs the only small grocery store in the greater Windsor village area that benefits the entire community of about 250 people. They have been hit very hard with significant damage to their village store and home. I have been in communication with them throughout, but have recently lost connectivity as the power and satellite feeds failed due to the storm. This family means the very world to us, we consider them OUR family, and consider Jamaica our second home. The Thomas’s have graciously welcomed us into their lives and have always been impeccable hosts willing to share everything they have.
