My name is Stacey Thibodeau. I'm starting this to help family. Jr and Sherry are always there to help those in need. Any amount will not go unnoticed. Sadly, at 5:20 pm on Thursday the 23rd, JRS Logging and Firewood Company on Frenchville Rd in Fort Kent burnt down to a total loss. It is important to note that no one was hurt. His wife Sherry, a neighbor, and a passerby were the first to the scene and were unsuccessful at trying to save a low-bed truck and tractor. Another local trucker was able to save the other unit. In under 5 minutes, everything was completely engulfed. Jr devoted 30 plus years to this business, accumulating many tools, equipment, and assets. He adored his work and especially all his customers over the years! People who know JR describe him as selfless, generous, kind, and God-loving. After enduring many hardships, he continues to get up after being knocked down. He was the first to give the shirt off his back to anyone in need, and this workshop has been a blessing and open door to many wonderful employees, to his children, and to his friends and relatives over time. Let us give back to the man who has been so good for others.
