On October 28th, Jamaica was struck by Hurricane Melissa — a Category 5 hurricane and the most powerful storm to hit the island since Hurricane Gilbert in 1988.

The devastation has been unimaginable. Homes, schools, roads, and essential infrastructure have been destroyed. Communities have been left without power, clean water, and basic supplies.

Although I now live in the UK, Jamaica will always be my home. Like so many other Jamaicans living in the UK, my family and friends have been directly affected by this disaster — and I am committed to doing whatever I can to help support the recovery and rebuilding of our beloved island.

I am asking for your help. Donations will go directly towards providing food, clothing, first aid supplies, and materials to help restore communities and rebuild Jamaica’s infrastructure.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference.

Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and colleagues.

Let’s come together.

Let’s help Jamaica recover.
