THEY ROBBED MY GYM NOT MY FAITH

I’d like to take a moment and share a business owners WORST NIGHTMARE come true. There are some of the ugliest truths behind ownership that none or nothing can Truly prepare you for. How it will break you down in spirit, faith, and determination yet lift you up higher than you ever thought you could be.

I walked into my gym a week ago at 6:20AM ready to crank up and spend the day Changing lives. Imagine walking into your HOME and just about EVERYTHING BEING GONE or DESTROYED! I mean damn near everything!! I’m like where’s all my stuff. so In shock I walked back out and back in to make sure I was in the right unit. YALL they took just about everything that wasn’t bolted down. I could feel a full meltdown coming so I ran outside to hide my Hurt, Disappointment, Shame and Brokenness from my clients present at the time. I couldn’t for the life of me understand who would want to sabotage ME of all people! One of the most genuine souls you’ll ever meet (simply ask).

So I called the cops & did the report they too couldn’t understand why a thief would past a Mechanic shop, luxury Golf Cart shop and skip to MY GYM SPECIFIALLY. I stood in the middle of what was once my SAFE PLACE, MY SANCTUARY , the place I was going to use to Change the World with OR atleast MY CITY,in total disbelief at what was actually happening at that’s very moment!

Confused at Who would actually break into a gym MY GYM!!!!

Moving forward (soo I don’t get off track) I surveyed the building to assess what was gone and not only was my IPad gone but my Laptop & entire Audio System was gone too! They took their time , Studied my schedule, the cameras (I ddnt have any yet but they were coming), pulled up to the back of my unit (very few even knew I had a back door) and carefully loaded their pickup truck (I know this from what small blurry bits I got from the business owner across the street camera) with my equipment and left never to look back again. Was this a SETUP?? (Definitely)

My Kettlebells, battle rope, all but 2 slam balls, jump ropes, majority of my dumbbells, Yoga mats , & all of my boxing equipment including a damn near 100lb bag…ALL GONE I guess the treadmill you left in the middle of my floor was too heavy or you couldn’t get it out the back door you POS And let’s not get started on how they left what little was left. Moving forward to my storage closet! Walked over and GUESS WHAT??? YEP YOU GOT IT EVERYTHING GONE! Like how did you carry 2 45lb 6-7 feet long OLYMPIC BARBELLS and plates out of here like what kinda mission were you on! Like who and why!

ALL of my Iron Lotus Fitness BRANDED And printed gear! Including a very special piece of my heart! They took my girl Denna D’s FERNDALE workout hoodie and bonnet I kept! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THEM (IYKYK sis ddnt play about her workouts or her Hair lol) It was at that very moment I knew it was personal ! Someone HATED ME & MY MISSION so much that it resulted in the most DESPERATE EVIL ACT SOLELY TO HURT ME & MY BUSINESS & attempt to stop my mission! And you know what IT ABSOLUTELY DID! I am devastated, I’ve bursted into tears without warning countless times, and I can’t tell you how many times I DIDNT want to get out of bed these last few weeks! Somehow SOMETHING keeps me going!

It wasn’t just about the Financial loss or even the Equipment stolen! They can be replaced!

They stole my …WHY?

Why even do it anymore?

Why even go through the struggles?

What’s the point? There’s soo many others out here with waaay more than a Big Heart & an EMPTY gym to offer!

People would ask How are You Doing? And I simply answered with I’m hanging by a thread !

All of this to say YES this is a setback YES I want to quit, YES I’ve questioned almost every decision I’ve made into life over the last week but according to my TRIBE, KG Tha Kidd, & My Spirit Sis-STAR… GIVING UP IS NOT AND NEVER WAS AN OPTION!

I ask that y’all keep me lifted cuz I AM TIRED!!!

I APPRECIATE EVERYONE WHO HAS CALLED, TEXTED,ENCOURAGED, SUPPORTED, or DONATED (even the smallest amount) SIMPLY because you BELIEVE in me !

THIS IS NOT THE END OF MY STORY ITS JUST THE BEGINNING OF MY NEXT CHAPTER!

ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED TO REBUILD, REPLENISH, & BEGIN OUR NEW CHAPTER AT IRON LOTUS FITNESS & WELLNESS CLUB
