Rebuild Hope: Veronica & Joe's Fire Recovery

This past June, Veronica and Joe celebrated the start of their new life together. Newlyweds, they had just purchased their first condo, a place to start their future. They poured everything into making it a home, carefully selecting every piece of furniture, hanging their wedding photos, and creating a space full of love. But in less than a year, tragedy struck.

A devastating fire broke out on January 7th in The Palisades while Joe and Veronica were out, unable to reach their home in time due to evacuation orders. By the time they were allowed back on site when the fire was close to containment, their condo—along with all their belongings, wedding memorabilia, and everything they had worked so hard for—was gone, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Their dreams of continuing to build their life together in that home were shattered in an instant.

Veronica and Joe are facing an unimaginable challenge trying to find a new place to call home.

Not only have they lost everything, but they are still required to pay the mortgage on their destroyed home, all while trying to find a new place to live. The emotional and financial burden has been overwhelming. They’ve filed insurance claims, but the payout is far from enough to replace the memories and essentials they’ve lost.
