Rebuild Hope Orphanage in Bali After Devastating Fire

When I lived in Bali in 2023, I volunteered at Hope Children's Orphanage, and it honestly changed everything for me. Those kids became like a second family. It was the most real, heartbreaking, and amazing experience I've ever had. There are kids there from 3 years old all the way up to 22, and no matter what tough stuff they've been through, all they really need is someone to love them, support them, and make them feel like they belong.

I spent so much time just hanging out with them—playing games, helping with homework, or just sitting together. Christmas 2023 was really special. The kids got food, toys, and sports gear to share. Their smiles that day... I'll never forget it.

The orphanage pays for school fees for 53 kids, plus all the basics like electricity, food, and daily stuff to keep things running. Education is huge for them—it's their way out.

Then, everything changed when an electrical short circuit started a fire that burned the whole place down. They lost their beds, clothes, school books, everything. The only home they knew was gone. Right now, the kids are staying with some of the staff who run the orphanage, but it's temporary. They desperately need help to rebuild and keep going with school and everyday needs.

I've seen these kids up close—their strength, their laughter even after so much loss. They have real potential, and with some help, they can have the future they deserve.

If you can donate, share this, or just spread the word, it would mean the world to them.

The money will go straight to:
Building a new orphanage (materials, work, getting a safe home back)
School fees and supplies (so no one falls behind)
Food, water, electricity, and basics
Clothes, beds, and hygiene stuff (a lot was destroyed in the fire)

About the funds: This is completely transparent. Everything goes directly to Tris and Fitri, who lead the orphanage and are doing everything they can to keep the kids fed, safe, and in school while they figure out rebuilding.

How even small amounts help:
$20 buys school supplies for one kid
$50 covers a month's tuition for one child
$100 feeds and covers essentials for a week
$500 goes toward rebuilding costs

If you can't give money, just sharing this with people you know could bring in more help.

These kids have already been through too much. I've held their hands and heard their stories. They don't deserve to lose their chance at a better life. Please help if you can—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
